Dorothy\, Scarecrow\, Tin Man\, and the Co wardly Lion take you on a trip to the Enchanted Land of Oz to meet the Wiz ard himself. Developed from the ever-popular MGM screenplay\, it contains the beloved songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score\, all the favorite characters and iconic moments\, plus a few surprises along the way. \n\n Open to ages 8 – 18.\n\nLooking for 16-20 performers.\n\nTUITION:  This Show Team Musical Theatre Class will end in a string of professional perf ormances. Classes and rehearsals will include instruction in acting\, sing ing\, dancing\, producing a show\, and stage presence. Student participant s will learn\, through immersion\, skills on memorization\, characterizati on\, vocal diction and projection\, scene development\, and other aspects of theatre in order to become stronger\, more confident actors. Tuition fo r principal characters will be $800 per student\; tuition for ensemble mem bers will be $500 per student. Registration will be available once student s have been cast. Scholarships are available through the StageCoach Founda tion\, Inc.\n\nAuditions will be held on\n\nTuesday\, September 20 from 7: 00 - 9:30pm\n\nSaturday\, September 24 from 1:00 - 4:00pm.\n\nat StageCoac h Theatre\, 20937 Ashburn Road\, Suites 115 and 120\, Ashburn\, VA 20147.\ n\nCallbacks for principal characters will be held Sunday\, September 25 f rom 5:00 - 7:00pm. Not all characters will be called back.\n\nThose who wo uld like to audition should reserve an audition slot on Sign-Up Genius an d complete an audition form.\n\nWhat to prepare for the audition\;\n\n A 1-minute dramatic or classic monologue. Bring your own or choose from one we provide. Memorization is not required.\n A 1-minute classic musical th eatre song\, preferably not from the show\, in a style similar to the char acter  you would like to play. You must bring a karaoke track with you to the audition. You can play it from your phone or send it 3 hours prior to your audition to info @ stagecoachtc.com (no spaces).\n Be prepared for a cold reading from the script.\n Please practice this short choreographe d segment to show your rhythm in dancing.\n\nBring all known conflicts. N o absences will be permitted in the 2 weeks prior to opening night. Read t hrough will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday\, September 27 in Sterling.
