Frequently Asked Questions
What is the dress code?
Please feel free to wear something comfortable.
At the dinner theatre performances, anything from jeans to a suit is acceptable. Some people like to use the occasion to dress according to the theme, whether it’s a 1920s gangster, 1960s hippie, or a zombie.
For mystery adventures, shorts during warmer weather is acceptable. We’ve also had guests dressed to fit the murder mystery theme of the tours – from the characters from Clue to Wild West garb to detectives of all sorts. Feel free to go all out if you’d like!
Students should wear clothing and closed toed shoes to enable them to move easily during class.
When should we arrive for a performance?
Please plan to arrive at least 15-30 minutes before the performance is scheduled to begin. This allows you extra time to settle into your seat and possibly purchase a drink before the performance begins.
Is the show appropriate for my young children?
Our murder mystery shows are considered PG-13. It is up to you as a parent to determine whether it will be suitable for your child. Check out our Mystery Meter™ which we use to gauge the level of spiciness in a show!
Improv shows are geared towards a mature audience and we recommend ages 18+. Magic shows are also intended for an adult audience, although most jokes would go over the heads of any younger clientele present.
Targeted audiences for our Theatre for Young Performer shows will vary by topic. Please note the subject matter. Feel free to contact us if you are still uncertain.
Can I request a vegetarian or gluten-free meal for a dinner theatre performance?
Most of our caterers are happy to prepare a vegetarian or vegan meal for you if given at least 48+ hours notice. Please contact us to assist you. Gluten-free meals are also available upon request, but please note that there may be cross-contamination with other foods which contain gluten during preparation.
Can I pay for my tickets at the door?
If a show includes a meal, then your tickets must be purchased in advance for catering purposes.
We encourage you to make reservations. We have a small theater which seats 50 people. That fills up quickly for a popular show. We don’t like to refuse someone at the door but fire regulations prevent us from adding more seats to a sold-out performance. Standing-room options are not available.
Is dinner included in all your shows?
No. Most of our dinner theatre productions DO have dinner included in the ticket price. Please check the show information to see if food is included in the ticket price. Most stage productions in our Ashburn theater DO NOT include dinner. Snacks and drinks are available for separate purchase for consumption within the theater. We do have a Mediterranean restaurant next door where you can eat prior to the performance, then walk to the theater for the show.
What if my child needs to drop out of an after school class or camp?
You can check our cancellation policy for classes and camps here.
Can I get a refund for my tickets if I can’t make the show?
All ticket sales are final.
Inclement Weather Policy
Will you cancel a show due to snow or ice?
Performances will proceed as scheduled unless weather conditions make it unsafe for our guests, cast, or crew. Any cancellation decision will be communicated as early as possible via email and social media.
What happens if the theatre cancels the performance?
If we cancel due to severe weather, all ticket holders will receive the option to transfer their reservation to a future performance or receive a full credit for the ticket value. Refunds are only issued if the event is canceled by the theatre.
What if the show goes on, but I can’t attend because of the weather?
If the performance is not canceled, tickets remain non-refundable. However, guests unable to attend due to weather may contact us within 24 hours of the scheduled performance to request a one-time transfer to a future date, subject to availability. The price of the meal in a dinner theatre production cannot be transferred since food preparations will have already begun.
What if conditions vary in my area?
We understand weather can differ greatly by location. Please use your best judgment when deciding to travel and allow extra time to arrive safely.
How will I be notified of a cancellation?
Notifications will be sent via email to ticket holders and posted on our social media channels and website.
Thank you for your understanding and for supporting live theatre. We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to seeing you soon.
