Alice by Heart is a poignant 2019 musical that reimagines Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland against the backdrop of the London Blitz. In a Tube station shelter, young Alice and her friend Alfred turn to their beloved book to escape the chaos above, discovering within its pages a world where first love, devastating loss, and the boundless power of imagination collide.
Withe its evocative pop-rock score and a tone described by The New York Times as “darkly whimsical,” Alice by Heart invites audiences to journey through a Wonderland transformed by the realities of war, grief, and the bittersweet passage from youth to adulthood.
Auditions: October 4 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at StageCoach Theatre, 20937 Ashburn Rd, Suite 240, Ashburn, VA 20147.

TIME COMMITMENT:
Weekly Rehearsals: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 – 9:00pm (October 9 – December 18)
Camp-Day Rehearsals: October 13 (10:00am-4:00pm), November 4 (12:00 noon – 5:00pm), January 19 (10:00am – 4:00pm)
Tech Rehearsals: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 – 10:00pm (January 5 – 22)
Pick-up Rehearsals: January 28th and February 4th, 7:00 – 10:00pm
Performances: January 23, 24, 29, 30, 31, February 5, 6, & 7 at 7:00pm
January 25, February 1 at 2:00pm
TUITION: Alice By Heart is part of our educational theatre program. The cost to participate in the cast is $800. This covers all rehearsal class hours, two tickets to a performance of your choice, and participation in any special workshops or master classes offered during Fall/Winter 2025. We never want finances to be a barrier to participation in our programs – scholarships are available via application through the StageCoach Playhouse For The Arts.
